Sanchayapatra Calculator
সঞ্চয়পত্র ক্যালকুলেটর
Estimate profit, periodic payouts and source tax (উৎসে কর) for Bangladesh Sanchayapatra savings certificates.
Assumptions used
- You enter the annual profit rate for each year — rates depend on your purchase date and government circulars.
- Payout by type: the 5-year certificate compounds yearly and pays at maturity; the 3-monthly certificate pays every quarter; Family and Pensioner certificates pay every month. All periodic profit is paid on the face value (not compounded).
- Source tax (উৎসে কর): a flat 5% on profit if your total Sanchayapatra investment is ৳5,00,000 or less, otherwise 10%. The threshold counts all your certificates together.
- Pensioner Sanchayapatra is treated as exempt from source tax (conditions apply).
Good to know
Profit rates change over time
The government revises Sanchayapatra profit rates periodically, and the rate locked to your certificate depends on its purchase date. Enter the rates that actually apply to yours rather than today's headline figure.
How source tax (উৎসে কর) works
Source tax is a flat 5% or 10% of the profit — not a tiered blend. The rate is decided purely by whether your total investment in savings certificates exceeds ৳5 lakh. We compute it from the amount you enter; if you hold other certificates, your applicable rate may differ.
Investment limits
Each certificate type has its own maximum, and there is an overall lifetime ceiling per investor. Investing beyond the limits can affect eligibility and tax treatment.
